Nature Homes can be designed which use solar power to cook food, heat water and  electricity. It comprises of rain-water harvesting for water needs and toilet and kitchen waste is composted to fertilizer for the garden.
Nature homes can be made by local natural materials available. Bamboo Architecture can also play a major role in this.

SUSTAINABILITY-MANY DEFINITIONS

I am writing after a short gap of ten days as I was travelling. In the meantime, kept on thinking about various views on sustainability.

1. Sustainability means living a dignified life in harmony with nature.
2. It means living within available resources without damaging the environment ever.
3. It means having long-term approach towards our actions which effect our future generations.
4. Sustainability means that the natural resources are not consumed faster than the nature's system of renewal.
5. Sustainability is the system of merging of economy and ecology.

We can very well say that Sustainable community living is a complete world of happiness and well being within the limits of nature.

BE AWARE AND ACT- ALTERNATE ENERGY

Using alternate resource of energy is very important for our Present and Future.


We are seeing the effects of our so called growth- Global Warming, Floods & Droughts, Recent cyclones & Hurricanes, Melting Glaciers and New Diseases.


We need to turn to- Solar Power, Wind Power, Bio-Mass Energy, Hydrogen-Energy, Natural Gas, etc.


Small steps can be taken individually, we can begin with our homes and collectively we can form a community for our present and future generations to come.
